What’s my purpose? Who am I?
I recently received an email from a friend and fan of my ministry who was inspired by my story and the journey I have taken to get to where I am now. She was asking for advice regarding purpose and shared some of her story with me I am always humbled and thankful to hear from friends out there that have been impacted by how God is using me. This was my response to her.
It’s been a long road but my prayers have remained the same. You can’t stop praying.
- God. Show me my purpose.
- Use me Lord
- Show me the way
- Speak to me Lord
- Open the doors
I had to wait a long time for this to come to fruition. Even a few years into this Painted Christ ministry it still didn’t register that this was my higher calling and that I could support my family with this ministry. God has done it all and I cannot take the credit. He introduced people and opportunities into my life that are unexplainable except that he orchestrated the events.
Stay the course and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in your daily walk. Ask him to show you the way. Be quiet and learn to listen. Follow your heart and find the work your heart desires. Read the scriptures and feed your soul with the word of God.
If money were no object and you had everything you wanted…. What would you do? Where would you go? Who would you be?
When I die, what will they call me? Who will I be remembered as? What is my legacy? I asked myself these questions 6 years ago and the answer I had was. I want to be known as Lance Brown the artist. Very creative and super talented. A heart for serving others. Humble and approachable. Loved Jesus, his family and his fellow neighbors.
I hope this helps you in your journey. I encourage you to journal your actions thoughts and prayers. It’s so cool to look back and see those answered prayers and overflow with love and thanksgiving to God.
Blessings
